What we do
Little Fishes Pre-school serves the local community providing early years care for children from two and a half to five years. We provide high quality care, made possible by a well-trained and highly motivated and dedicated team. The children are offered a challenging and rewarding curriculum in an environment with a strong Christian ethos.

We received an Outstanding Ofsted Report November 2011

Trips Out
We enjoy regular trips and our outings have included a trip to Shoplands Equestrian Centre following a child’s interest in horses, a morning at the beach when exploring the country of Hawaii and a trip to Sea Life Adventure looking at where the children live.

Other
We provide healthy, nutritious snacks during the morning and the snack bar is set up in such a way to foster independence as the children decide when to have snack during a period of 1.5 hours. This also enables children to engage in long concentrated periods of play and hence further their learning alongside their peers or with pre-school practitioners that are well qualified in facilitating children’s individual learning.

We have a circle time at each session which teaches children their names, counting and listening skills, as well as developing their language when singing nursery rhymes. At the end of circle time we sing our prayer “Thank you for the world so sweet ho ho” as we operate in a Christian environment.

Little Fishes also have special events throughout the year where parents are invited for lunches and each week there is a coffee morning for parents. We value our partnership working with parents highly and parents and carers are welcome into pre-school on a regular basis.

If you would like to arrange a visit please call us on our telephone number.
